
KATZ MARKETING SOLUTIONS EXPANDS WITH ADDITION OF
THREE SENIOR EXECUTIVES
New Hires Add Depth in New Business Development & Research
New York, May 11, 2009 – Katz Marketing Solutions, which creates strategic radio-focused campaigns on behalf of thousands of radio stations across the country while promoting the advantages of multiplatform radio, announced the addition of three senior executives to its rapidly expanding marketing group.
Chris Hamer joins Katz Marketing Solutions as a Senior Vice President of Business Development in New York. A senior brand strategist and business development executive with over 20 years of experience, he comes to Katz from OakView Strategic Advisors, where he was Managing Director. Before that, he was Senior Vice President of Strategic Marketing for Sony BMG Music, creating co-branded marketing programs for leading consumer brands such as Nike, Mountain Dew and Victoria’s Secret. Prior to Sony BMG, he led advertising and marketing for Cadillac where he brought the iconic music of Led Zeppelin together with the re-launch of Cadillac. He also served as VP, Marketing Communications at OnStar, where he created the award-winning radio campaign Real Stories based on real subscriber events, which resulted in subscription revenue climbing by more than $200 million annually.
Brian McElroy is KMS’s new Vice President of Research. An industry veteran, he has extensive experience in multimedia research including television, magazines and digital media. He most recently served at MediaVest as Research Director dedicated to the Wal-Mart account. Prior to MediaVest, McElroy managed media research projects for blue-chip clients at media agencies Universal McCann and MediaCom. In his new role at KMS, he will focus on communicating the benefits of radio to senior agency research and planning executives as well as working closely with both clients and agencies to quantify the effectiveness of their radio programs.
In addition, Heidi Schulthess becomes Vice President of Sales in Chicago after serving as the Midwest Business Development Director for National Cable Communications. At NCC, she was responsible for business development efforts of four regional offices—Chicago, Minneapolis, Detroit and Cleveland—and had oversight of more than 50 account executives. Before joining NCC, she served as Business Development Director for CBS Radio’s WBBM-FM & WJMK-FM, where she developed and executed custom integrated marketing opportunities for on-air radio, digital media, event logistics and sponsorship opportunities.
