KATZ MEDIA GROUP NAMES JEFF HOWARD
PRESIDENT OF CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO SALES

Alan Korowitz and Mary Pultorak Take On More Senior Roles

New York, January 15, 2009 – Katz Media Group, the nation’s leading media representation firm, announced a new management structure at Clear Channel Radio Sales that positions the company for future growth. Jeff Howard, an 18-year company veteran, was named sole President of Clear Channel Radio Sales (CCRS), the national sales arm of Clear Channel Radio. In addition, Alan Korowitz was promoted to the newly created position of Executive Vice President of Operations, and Mary Pultorak was elevated to the new role of Senior Vice President for Stations. The changes are effective immediately.

The promotions follow last week’s announcement of a new structure at the Katz Media Group that calls for the creation of a new division that will focus on developing new dollars and creating customized campaigns for national advertisers on behalf of Katz’s consolidated network of stations. Katz Marketing Solutions will be responsible for leading the company’s creative charge while working closely with large national advertisers and their agencies in the earliest stages of the planning process.

“Jeff has driven terrific results and shown enormous leadership in his tenure at Clear Channel Radio Sales,” said John Hogan, president and CEO of Clear Channel Radio. “From his involvement with the country’s largest advertising agencies, Jeff’s partnership with some of our most important advertisers has created unprecedented results for our customers and our company. We’re delighted Jeff will be taking the reins of Clear Channel Radio Sales.”

“Jeff is one of our most experienced executives and has built a tremendous track record in his many years with the company," said Stu Olds, Chief Executive Officer of the Katz Media Group. “I have great confidence that he and his executive team will manage Clear Channel’s extraordinary national assets with great strategic insight, innovation and the tenacity required to drive results.”

Howard joined Katz Radio Group’s Eastman Radio in 1991 and was named New York team manager in 1993. In 1997, he became the company’s Northeast Divisional Manager and was promoted to Eastern Regional Manager the following year. In 2000, he was named co-President of CCRS, which serves 845 radio stations operated by Clear Channel Radio and offers advertisers a national reach of 110 million listeners.
“We have a strong team in place, and I am excited that Alan and Mary will join me in taking CCRS to the next level of growth,” Howard said. “They have done a spectacular job of developing CCRS’s sales force and building long-term relationships with clients and the advertising community—and I am certain they will make an immediate impact in their new roles.”

Korowitz most recently served as Regional Vice President of the Northeast and Director of Sales for CCRS’s New York office. Korowitz started his career in 1986 at WRCN-FM in Long Island as an account executive before moving to WKJY-FM, also in Long Island. He became a General Sales Manager at Roslin Radio Sales, a Senior Account Executive at Banner Radio Sales in 1996 and took on the same role at Amcast Radio Sales a year later. He joined Katz Radio as a New York Sales Manager in 1998 and moved to CCRS in 2000.

Prior to her promotion, Pultorak was the Regional Vice President of the Midwest and Senior Vice President for CCRS’s Marketing Solutions Group. She began her radio career in 1993 as an account executive with WYXR-FM in Philadelphia, then moved on to Banner Radio in 1994 as an account executive, Amcast Radio in 1997 as a manager, and Sentry Radio in 1998 as a Vice President. She became Director of Sales for CCRS’s Chicago office in 2000. Pultorak was tapped as Clear Channel Radio’s “Executive of the Year” for the CCRS division in 2004 and was named one of the “25 Women Who Rule in Sales and Marketing” by the American Women in Radio and Television in 2007.
